Laminated wood blocks, shaved
Solid blocks of wood, glued and shaved down into a cone. The opening at the top is the trace of the spoke that held the piece while it was worked. Part tool, part useless block, the cone is the image of an operation undergone, and refers to its own making: the relation of an idea. Deceptively simple, it now also ages, gathering dust and marks, asking about the limits of its making and becoming, intentionally blurry.
